As such, PowerDetails has built precautions and taken additional security measures to protect the vital data that is key to their operations. We use a multi-layered approach, constantly monitoring the application and infrastructure to support the growing challenges and requirements of security.

Physical Controls and Security

  • 24-hour manned security, including foot patrols, perimeter inspections, surveillance cameras temperature and humidity control 

  • Asset tracking 

  • Redundant cooling system 

  • Redundant power distribution units and generators with on-site fuel storage 

  • Underground utility feed 

  • Redundant CPS/UPS systems

 

Data and Network Security

  • Data is encrypted while in transit between users and servers 

  • Data is encrypted with a minimum of 128-bit encryption (based on browser capability) High bandwidth capacity 

  • Use SSL 3.0/TLS 1.2, using global server certificates 

  • Firewalls and edge routers to block unused protocols and segregate traffic between the application and the database

Back Up and Disaster Recovery

  • Disaster recovery assessments verify projected recovery time and integrity of data 

  • All data is backed up between production and disaster recovery data centers on a schedule of full and  incremental backups

Authentication

  • User sessions are identified and verified with each access request, using a unique encrypted token
